Upper Manhattan. Residential property Some upside. 4 Units NYC department of finance's estimated market value is, 256,000 A comp sold for 2,000,000 Owner asking 2,100,000 Is this a good price? And why?

@Mary Bodrato banks aren't landlords and they don't like to hold on to properties. Investors like to buy bank owned or Real estate owned (REO) because they can be purchased at a discounted rate.

Learned an awful lot about real estate these last couple of months. I want to try wholesaling in NYC. I know this is where the big dogs play but, this is where I was born and raised. Any advice on getting started? Has anybody started out here and been successful?

vacancy, repairs, and cap ex are a must when analyzing a deal. If you leave any of this things out. You could end up with a gator!!
