Hey Bigger Pockets Gang,

I am elated to say I sold my first investment property last week, as an Agent/Owner nonetheless.  Before I became an agent, a friend told me about bigger pockets, and I must have listened to 30 podcasts while I was driving, while I was cleaning the house, and while I was laying down.  I was originally thinking wholesaling, but I decided it was time to fully jump into real estate as an agent.  I passed the exams, and joined my brokerage.  Then I had the opportunity to meet an investor working on their first property and did great work.  Before I know it, I joined in on a Historic Property in West End, Atlanta, GA.  Get this, a newbie dealing with a first property in National Historic District.  What was I thinking!?  But we did dealt with it.  Let me know if you have any questions, maybe my experience will help another Bigger Pockets member.

Thank you everyone @Tim Fergus , @Elizabeth Colegrove . I went to my local Atlanta REIA yesterday. I was able to learn a lot. Of course, I just started learning all this a week ago. Yesterday, I was looking for mentors and people to talk to about what interested people in REI. I want to keep on learning! All this learning is making me very excited.

Hello BiggerPockets Family,

Wow, this is a great website.  How did I get here?  A good friend of told me about wholesaling properties on the telephone.  After we spoke about it he sent me 3 websites about a week later.  I let about a month go by before I decided to check the websites out.  Now I interested in wholesaling properties, but I am even more interested in rehabbing properties.

For the last several days I have been listening to the podcasts, reading the blogs, and also reading how to get started. I am very excited to gain knowledge and jump in. I would greatly appreciate any advice from my BP family. If I need to volunteer, I will do it in the Atlanta area. I am still young (28), ready to learn (going to my first REIA event tomorrow).

Ready to learn and take action in Atlanta, Georgia!

Wow @Brian Burke.  It took me a while to read every comment, but I am impressed.  I just became interested in REI and your struggle has been amazing.  Watching your steps, your mistakes, lets me see that you are always learning something new.  It's truly an inspiration.  I am going to my first REIA group tomorrow in Atlanta with open ears seeing even more knowledge!  Thanks again for keep us all posted with your housing activities.
