Bryan Trelegan thanks for your feedback. You bring up some interesting points worth looking into. I'm not sure how hard it would be to get back in if I got out. In the past, it wasn't likely. Now, things have changed and we are starting to beef the military back up. Thanks!

Jerry Rien - If I do get out, I'll definitely stay in the reserves. You bring up a good point about getting loans now because that is an advantage I have now with my time in service. Realistically, I will finish out the next ten years unless the right opportunity presents itself. I just want to ensure I'm making the right decision because 10 years is still a lot of time to make things happen in the investing world.

Chase Keller - thanks again for the amazing feedback! I couldn't agree more with everything you said and I definitely plan on investing where the numbers makes sense regardless of where it is. I'm just excited to get started and after studying for over a year now, I know I have the knowledge needed to succeed in investing. I'm hoping that getting my real estate license opens some doors for me and allows for more opportunities to network.

Andy D. - Thanks for your feedback. To clarify, I'm not asking whether I should get out of the military and go into real estate investing full time. I'm asking if I were to get out, what recommendations do seasoned investors have on which route I should take. I believe there are opportunities out there for people with my background to make a decent living and also learn the necessary skills to be successful as a multi family real estate investor. I'm just trying to understand what my options are if I decided to get out and pursue my passion. In the meantime, I'm fixing to get my real estate license and I have been studying on real estate investing for over a year now. If I do not come across an opportunity that I feel is worthy of me getting out of the military, my goal is to create enough passive income on investment to justify me getting out.

Chase Keller - Great advice! I'll definitely look into that and see if I can link up with somebody like you in my local area if I decide to stay in the military. However, the problem is I want to be doing what you are doing! I'll continue to explore options and see what makes the most sense with where I'm at in life. Thanks!

Hi, I'm hoping to get some expert feedback on which route I should pursue next. I'm currently in the military at my 10 yr mark and I feel like it's holding me back from doing what I want in real estate investing, specifically multi-family. The military has provided me with a lot of leadership experience to include operations officer of over 1000 soldiers and I'm currently a company commander of 250. I'm at the point where I need to make a decision on whether I should get out and pursue real estate full time or stay in and do what I can part time. I'm not asking for help in making that decision, however, I am asking for recommendations on which position I should pursue under a successful multi-family investor that will lead me on a path to success. There are so many options out there and I'm trying to narrow them down and see what makes sense for my future. Right now, I have a unique opportunity with syndicating deals because of all the fellow officers I work with that are excited about investing. I just don't have time time needed to sponsor deals so that's not doing me any good. I look forward to hearing from you professionals out there on what you think makes sense for me. Thanks!
