It was perfect, the phrase had actually said to him while golfing with a much older and experienced gentlemen.
In other words, it's how you are using your tools, you should be using agents as tools to find deals (its sounds bad to someone with less experience) however, good agents are dying for a good investor to go right to when they finally pull a listing. Offloading it quickly makes up for the amount of trust building you need to even get a listing. So, you should be networking with multiple agents everyday, asking them what they are working on, this is what will get you deals. "Look for the opportunity, don't attempt to ride the coat tails. The best way to get them on your side is to contribute to their success. If they see that they will keep coming back to you.
