Anyone had any experience converting downtown commercial space into apartments?  I'm interested in getting a multi-leveled building that has been used as retail and office space right in the heart of a downtown and converting the space into modern apartments for professionals/executives and/or younger/hip crowd.  interested in the start-to-finish as it relates to funding, first and foremost, and then everything else.  TIA

Are there any ways to avoid paying PMI with a less-than-20% down payment? Trying to cut costs any way possible. Thanks! Happy Easter!!!

Well I just learned that I cannot use FHA if I’m not living there. Sooo I guess that answers that lol. Are there any methods of similarity investing with minimal down while being out of state?

I can’t use my VA loan as I am not moving to Maine any time soon but would like to start investing there as it’s where I intend to move in the future. Looking into FHA loan on an under-50k duplex. What are some things to keep mindful of? What are some tips or tricks for using that financing? How does it all even work?!

Jim Murray I’m a rookie but I’m thinking I may not qualify for much of a return when it comes to HELOC as I’ve only had the house since April 2017..

Looking at investing out of state (live in GA - looking at ME). Own a house in Ga (160k) interested in HELOC or similar in order to get in without a down payment.

How’s the market in and around Augusta, Ga for BRRRR, etc etc? High turnover? Steady tenants? Vacancy?
