Greetings,

Ny name is Joshua, I am looking to purchase a home in Connecticut in the near future. I plan to purchase a multifamily and take advantage of the FHA loan application as a first time homeowner. I work at JFK airport and would like to stay a reasonable commute from the airport. However, my main focus is purchasing a home in a neighborhood with a low tenant turnover rate.

Thank you

Thank you for your response.
She is not looking to receive any cash from the house, she is simply looking to remove someone from the title of the house.

Greetings!

I plan to help my mother refinance her mortgage to take someone out of the title leaving her as the only title owner. She cannot refinance by herself because her income does not satisfy the necessary debt to equity ratio. If I cosign for this loan and do not include myself on the title. Will this affect my debt to equity ratio and "First time Homeowner Status"? The answers I have heard so far are No, as long as I provide 12 months of proof that my mother is the one making the payments, and I am not on the Title. And the second answer I get is yes, my debt to equity ratio and "First Time Homeowner Status" will be affected regardless of title status. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings,

My name is Joshua and I currently live in a two family property in the Queens NYC Area in which my mother is the landlord. Unfortunately, we do not have proper legal documentation for an ongoing parking space dispute.

At the time of purchase we had a car gate connected to the side of our house as well as a full garage for one vehicle in our backyard. At the side of the house before the gate there is a drive way between our house and our neighbors house. However, several years ago the neighbors put a gate that prevented us from using the shared driveway, and have used the full driveway solely for themselves.

My mother and our family did not have a car at the time and chose not to dispute it. However, today my younger brother and I work full time Jobs and are in need of a convent parking space.

Any information on how to resolve our ongoing parking dispute or recommendations for a great surveying company would be greatly appreciated.

Hello!

My name is Joshua and I am interested in getting involved in House Hacking. I currently live and work in NY as a Aircraft Mechanic and would like to purcahse my first property this year. I am not limiting myself to solely purchasing homes in the New York area, but I would like it to be a manageable driving distance to work.
From what I understand I can apply for an FHA loan on a multiple-family as long as I live in the property for a year. A strategy I learned from Brandon Turners' "The Book On Rental Property Investing". However, I see that the housing market expects the buyer to pay a premium even with the current unemployment rates and the uncertainty of how long these governemnt assitance programs will prevent foreclosures. I am still reading and learning and wonder if I should also get a real estate license to work with a local real estate agency while waiting on the sidelines. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Basit, thank you for your input. I  realize I should have specified that I would like to work with Wholesaling individuals first and foremost. Are there any resources you recommend for learning more on this subject?

Greetings BiggerPockets Community!

My name is Joshua and I am completely new to real estate.

A little bit about me:

- I live in the NYC area

- I am 22 years old

- I also invest in the stock market following value investing rules

- my favorite book is "Rich dad Poor Dad" by Robert T. Kiyosaki

I'm interested in learning more about Wholesaling, Flipping and House Hacking.

I look forward to speaking with you!
