@Brianna Chisholm Have you started attending any REI meetup's here in CLT? I moved here about a year ago and just started attending some in the area and they have been a fantastic way to meet like minded investors. Feel free to message me and I can share some of the groups I've connected with.

Simply FOMOing in rather than doing research to understand the asset they are buying. We all know crypto is volatile but I think folks underestimate how bumpy that road is and once they experience the bottom drop they can't keep their composure and sell. I'm numb to the drops at this point and see the dips as a chance to buy more and increase my position.

InvestAnswers is a phenomenal resource as well as Benjamin Cowen (mentioned above). The What Bitcoin Did podcast, Anthony Pompliano  & NLW's Podcast on Coindesk are always informative. Dan Held, Robert Breedlove, Nic Carter & Jack Mallers are great folks to follow on Twitter. The Bitcoin Standard is a must read.

Yup, definitely early days but you should absolutely be able to be paid in crypto if you prefer. I'm sure there are numerous ways of make that transaction such as Strike. It's going to be so interesting to watch how the crypto & real estate worlds integrate.

Also to the point of using USDC you could then turn around at put that on a platform such as Celsius and earn a % back therefore making your cashflow cashflow.

@Ana Garcia Upwork or Fiverr would be my recommendations.

@CHRISTOPHER CALDWELL

My advice would be to emerse yourself in all things Real Estate Investing so that you gain as much useful and practical knowledge as possible. BiggerPockets, books, podcasts and YouTube have an endless supply of knowledge for the taking so that you can move forward with confidence.

Doing the above will open up the world of REI and what being a landlord is really like. Not too mention you will be doing this out of state.

Best of luck!

BP Forum I need your insight.

My wife and I passively invested a small percentage into an out of state 48 unit complex to get our feet wet. I went this route b/c I know the person I was investing with. He has a solid track record, team in place (PM, GC, Agents etc) and is looking to scale big.

So what's the problem? This investment is completely passive which is both a pro & con. I want to learn & get my hands dirty b/c there is so much to be gained from starting from the ground up.

Do I continue to invest with my partner and scale as they scale or do I split off and purchase my own small MF so that I can learn the in's and outs? By skipping the "build from the ground floor" phase I feel I'm missing a lot of valuable lessons however if it's about ROI then where I'm at will prove to be just fine.

I would love some insight on what you think would be the next best step. I'm having a "it's hard to see the forest through the trees" moment and I need some clarity.
