Welcome Nathan!  This is the best RE site/community on the planet.  Tons of resources at your disposal. I am new and learning as well. My advice is for starters, download the free resources and read. Additionally, listen to every BP podcast you can every chance you get. They are invaluable. Good luck and again, welcome!

My name is Joe Ortiz, and I live in Columbia, South Carolina.  I learned about the Bigger Pockets podcast from a friend who new I would be interested.  As a result, I have learned about the Bigger Pockets community and am thrilled to be part of it.  I am currently the purchasing manager for a regional builder and own one rental.  Though I have owned this rental for a while, I consider myself a newbie.  My immediate goals are to aquire rental properties and build my passive income portfolio.  Perhaps eventually, fix and flips may be a good fit with my building background.  I have a strong desire to learn about real estate investing and to ultimately be "free."  I welcome any advice on getting started, and any relationship I can build in the years to come.
