Thanks Mike , it’s pretty encouraging to see your comments. We go up to the mountains quite often, so we have paid quite a bit of money to VRBO in the last twenty years. It will be nice to have our own place up there :)

I am actively looking to buy a lake front property in Hiawassee, GA area. This would be our second home and also a short term rental. I have four long term rentals that I self manage. But this would be my first short term rental property. I would love to connect and hear from fellow Atlanta area investors, with properties in the North Georgia mountains. How is the demand for AirBnB? What should I watch out when buying a lake front property especially in the mountains? Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences.

I did a full rehab in Pittsburgh and the house is now rented. ( I am a buy and hold investor). Prices have gone up so much since I bought my property that it’s impossible to make the numbers work for a buy and hold. I do agree that there is a HUGE change in the neighborhood in the last one year since I bought the property. I intend to hold mine for about 5 years and see what happens there.

I am in a very similar situation like yours. The two options I am considering are 1. a Loan on the LLC( I am getting quotes around 6% , I have to do some homework on that) 2. interest only loan through private lenders. Again this is also around 6%, ,this will help with the cash flow now , so I can use it towards saving for the next down payment. I can do a refi couple of years later.
