@Frank Patalano

The fear of something going horribly wrong. Inspection saying this and that and then when people move in the floor falls through and then I’m held legally accountable for injuries and then within one big swoop everything is taken away.

After I bought my first that wasn’t the problem. Now with the second its capital. Where I should put it, what’s the smartest move I can make with it etc.

@Candace Pfab

That’s nice to know, I thought it was all new STRs and the only ones left were the ones who were grand fathered in.

Seems the be a trend with a lot of cities threatening to ban STRs.

@Angie Shires

No problem. Be aware of where you purchase and make sure its Gulf Shores. Orange Beach, neighboring town, banned STRs that are less than 14 days. It might be just in residential areas, but I’m not 100% positive. Gulf Shores was talking about doing the same but I think they are getting big tax dollars from AirBnB.

@Angie Shires

Gulf Shores is the largest Airbnb market in the state of Alabama.

Here is a link on STRs statistics for the area:

@Lee Waldrop

Hey Lee, thanks man. I’ve seen some of your signs around. I would love to connect. I live in Fairhope as well. I’m currently looking in Mobile to buy, just because of access to limited capital.

@AMY NEWTON

Fairhope is awesome. The best public schools in the nation. Baldwin county alone has four cities in the top 10 for fastest in growth in the state. Fairhope being atop of the other three.

My fiancé and I bought another house shortly after the one I purchased for a primary residence in a neighborhood that has a lot of room for appreciation. We bought for $185k and A house four doors down from ours just sold for $265k. Comparable to ours. There are a couple more for sell in our neighborhood that are less than $200k with lots of potential.

I haven’t been focusing a lot on purchasing right now because we are trying to open another restaurant but I am willing to help you and give you insight on the area whenever.

If you do buy here but plan to move here later. Air BnB is doing very, very well in our area. So there’s always the option of that as well.

@Karen Rittenhouse obviously, but as stated before if it was a stranger that neither guy knew who broke into the house, would I still evict them? Probably not, because neither one of them physically did anything to the property. How can I kick out two guys who did nothing? He showed his dad where he was staying, they cleaned out their shared storage unit, disputed about a item, dad waits til he went to work and then breaks in to get said item.. Sorry guy, you’re being evicted for showing your dad where you were goIng to be living. He didn’t plan on his dad doing any of that. I’m not trying to defend anyone I just think it’d be a bad practice to evict two guys who did nothing.
