what's the best way to remove lead paint base, and do I need to go to the bare wood or as close as I can get it?

Way to go! It's the same for younger people as well, you don't get as much respect, this one lady treated me like I wasn't even ganna get pre approved for a triplex, looked at me all weird,  and 2 weeks later I bought the house!

Hey there BP!

I went in to the bank to see if I get pre approved, my score is 710, but they said I need at least one installment loan on my credit history, they recommended me buying a car. I don't want to buy a car because I have one right now, is there any other type on loan that would be something similar, or other way to get an installment loan without getting a car? Like secured loan? any advice is appreciated! thanks!

#AskBP Hey there BP, I have ten thousand, and I want to know if I should put that down as down payment on a 60000 dollar duplex, or just put half down? The duplex does need a lot of work I would say at the most 15000, to make it look really good or just decent 5000. thanks, also I'm only 19 turning 20 in six months. And my credit is 710 but not enough history. So I don't know how good that would get me on interest rates. And it's located about half a mile from a University Area so it's a good location.

it was built in 1926 and it value right now is 76000, and the utilities would be payed by the tenant, but it needs a lot of work, I would do all the work my self and just buy materials, and my guesse is that once it's been remodel the value would go up to at least 100000 because it's about half of mile away from a university cumpus

is it worth buying a duplex with two bedrooms in each for 56000 but it's pretty ugly i estimate the cost to fix it would be about 20000 minimum, and it has a great location, I could rent it out for about 600- 650 a month once it's been remodel
