Ah, the wording in my post sucks. I guess the caffeine ran out.

I need a builder recommendation in Miami, FL.

Hey BP - I'm looking to build a new single-family home as my primary residence and I'm looking for builder recommendations and/or architects.  I'm currently building a new turn-key property in Cape Coral as an investment, but this will be a custom build (based on some really nice modern local comps) that I will live in.

Thanks in advance.

Congrats Julie. The most difficult thing for me so far has been actually finding a deal.

I fourth (is that a thing?) Cape Coral. I'm following down the same path as Patrick (in part thanks to his help and guidance). I've visited Cape Coral several time in Jan and met with local builders. I've also ran data analysis on 47 recent appraisals and the numbers are definitely great. Like Patrick said, and if the market remains strong or even stable, $80k equity is easy to see when the builds are done.

Here is a good link to search for whether a lot is in a flood zone or not: https://www.capecoral.gov/i_wa...

I'm also doing a deal with Rent to Retirement (RTR) in Cape Coral and so far Zach and Adam have been very helpful. You can tell they put care and time into their business.

@Tatiana Viviano I am in escrow on a lot that is a bit more south and west (by Kismet and Santa Barbara. I did like the area when I drove by. It was quiet and there were a lot of new builds, but I felt that it was too much on the "outskirts". Not to say that a build won't be successful out there, but there are definitely other opportunities available.
