I am looking to purchase a SFR within a 15 mile radius of Chicago. Ideally it would be in the north side and north west suburbs. My criteria is ARV less 30% less rehab costs. Well i've used a list broker like Nextmark.com in the past, it was a responsive list.  I've also used public-record.com for code violations and divorces, i've gone to the county court house to get probate files (which many include the administrators phone number) and also list source for out of state owners and pre-foreclosure lists.  Let me know how they work out for you.

I'm looking into purchasing a rental property in Cook county but i've heard that it is not a very investor friendly area.  As a result, i've been also looking into neighboring counties.  Can anyone share their thoughts/experiences being a landlord in Cook county vs other neighboring counties?  Thanks.

Definitely check out Momotaro for sushi.  If you're in a mood for pizza then try Pequods in Lincoln Park.  I'm a fan of Mastros Steak, careful the atomic horseradish will have you crying all night.  If you like seafood then head over to C Chicago.  If you have a sweet tooth like me then try out Glazed and Infused - bacon donuts are the best!
