To make a long story short, a tenant of ours for over 3 years decided about three months ago that they no longer wanted to pay rent. After 3 months of no rent being payed and being ignored for over a month, we stopped by hoping to resolve the situation (considering he was a great tenant for years before this) to find that they trashed the place and left. But they left a car in the driveway. Obviously we don't have the title to the car, which creates several problems: 1. We don't have the title to the vehicle, so we can't get it towed. 2. We can't sell it to a scrap yard without the title. Has anyone ever dealt with a similar situation or know what the protocol here is? Thanks!
Bill Bordeaux Personal Capital is available on the App Store and I've found it very useful. You load all of your assets, liabilities, and bank accounts into it and it organizes it and calculates your net worth down to the cent.
