I am currently trying to start wholesaling in the Denton area. I am a new REI and would love to get some advice from some seasoned investors on the best way to start and succeed in this field.

@Ryan Blake Thanks for the advice Ryan, I noticed that Allen isn't the best market and was looking at the McKinney area. I also am looking at the Denton area, mainly around UNT. This semester I was trying to get into a dorm, but there was a  waiting list of about 400 people. Those students will have to find outside housing now, so I've been looking into that area because I see its growing. Do you have any thoughts on the area? 

@Kenneth McKeown Hey Kenneth, great questions. I am set to start my full time job starting January and I have been working as a intern for this summer. I have money saved for a down payment and once I start working I'll be good in the funds department. With the rental property, my main goal is to find a Duplex and house hack it, so I can learn how to be a landlord and get some experience under my belt. My goal is to get into MFH once I get comfortable with my first property.

Hello Everyone, my name is Jonathan Gonzalez. I started listening to Bigger Pockets podcast at the beginning of this summer and have become hooked on learning about Real Estate. I am currently a Senior at the University of North Texas and live in Allen, Texas. I have a desire to get started in Real Estate and I am working on my goal to buy a rental property by April of next year.  I am a hands on person so I am willing to help fellow investors work on projects(clean houses, paint, etc.) to see the process first hand and learn.
