Good Morning,

I am currently buying a SFH house in Tustin however, noticed that there was preferential permit parking on the street and wanted to find out more information from anyone who has any experience with this

We are planning on converting our garage into a livable space as permitted by the city and renting It out, thus loosing 2 parking places. In the case that our onsite parking is not enough as It is expected to be, has anyone run into any issues with permits being given to renters if they do not wish to change their address on their drivers license and vehicle registration? The city requires that the name of the permit account holder has the cars registered under the home but nothing is mentioned about renters. It would be a hassle for renters to change their address if rentals is not long term.

I sent over an email to city planning but was hoping to get real world experience.

Here is the link to the guidance https://www.tustinca.org/Docum...

Thanks in advance!

@Dan Heuschele thank you for the responses! I’ll give the city a call. Have a great day
