@Cassi Justiz As an agent and an investor, what is your main form of communication? Email? Just curious as to what the best way/most efficient way to connect with real estate brokerages.

@Cassi Justiz Thank you so much for the info.
Yeah the appeal of being able to work when I want too has been a big factor but I have been trying to see if it would be worth it with the yearly fees. Are there any resources to find out the fees for my state? Or should I work to connect with a real estate agent in my area to figure that all out? Thanks again for taking the time to respond!

Hoping this is the correct place for this. Apologies if it is not!
Hi, my name is John and I found Bigger Pockets a couple years back when I was looking to get into investment property’s. Unfortunately back then I was not as set up as I am now in my career. However, I am back on here with a different view in mind.
I have a career and work in technology but have always felt like real estate offered a great path to “bigger pockets”, pun intended. I would love to own an investment property or flip houses one day but I know absolutely nothing about this kind of stuff. So I thought about becoming a real estate agent to start.
My questions are to anyone who was or is a real estate agent, especiallly someone who has experience balancing a full time job with a career in real estate.
How difficult is it to balance a full time job with a part time career in real estate?
Is the return on commissions worth the loss in monthly and yearly fees?
Did you feel like you were losing too much free time on weekends and holidays?
Did you feel like you missed out on opportunities because of your full time schedule?
Again, my apologies if this is the wrong place for this post, im still getting familiar with the site again, but just wanted to introduce myself and get some guidance.
Thanks,
John
Hi Everyone,
I am very new to this world of real estate and I have been tinkering with the idea of investing into a property to rent out. I have some money put away for this and I have been doing a lot of research so I know a lot of what I need to look out for. However I feel that first, I need to get a realtor. I am hoping to get someone who I can use for years to come. I was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips I could use of what to look for in a realtor and the best way to go about finding one. This may seem like a dumb question but like I said, I'm new at this, so I'm going to be as thorough as I can.
Thanks!
