@Victor Jernigan No I teach at Inskip. I am definitely going to check out the KnoxREIA. My plan is to keep doing my research by reading and rereading as many books as I can to gain knowledge. I don't want to push investing to quickly and get burned out by a stupid deal or mistake. Luckily I have surrounded myself with many great mentors and have discovered a great online free mentor program through BiggerPockets.

Yes I do. I was very fortunate to purchase my first house during the bottom of the market in 2013. Rates were extremely low and so was the price. Fun fact I was able to get an USDA Rural housing loan that let me finance at 100% since the house is "in the country." It is really 5 minutes from downtown Knoxville. I was able to take the down payment we were saving and put it into improvements in the house.

My name is John Morgan. I have a wife and a daughter named Addison as well as a son that is due in April. I am a third grade teacher in an Inner-city school in North Knoxville and am originally from Dallas, Texas. I am looking to get into real estate investing through Fix and Flips as well as Rentals. Right now I have spent the last 6 months reading books on real estate investing and am looking to start to get plugged in around town. I am currently on spring break and, while watching my daughter throughout the day, am creating my "business plan" on what I want to achieve in real estate.
