Hey everyone! I'm living in the Northern VA/DC Metro area and always looking to network and meet new people in the real estate investment world. I'm looking to meet people investing in the area and find new investor meet ups to attend. If anyone wants to connect or has any recommendations for meet ups (anywhere from Northern VA to DC to Maryland) I'm open to all kinds of events! Thanks in advance!

Hey Shay! Welcome to the fix and flip world in DC! Many first-time investors are scared off by the high prices in DC but there are also many neighborhoods in DC and the surrounding areas (predominantly MD) that are much more affordable but still have the potential to make a solid profit. I wouldn't recommend starting in a city far from where you live. Trust me, you're going to want to see the property regularly in person during the rehab process, especially if there are any hiccups. If you need help finding more affordable deals in DC/VA/MD, reach out on my profile, I help investors find profitable deals in the area!

Hi Prashamsa! I've found it difficult to invest in the Northern VA area due to the reason that so many people are interested in those properties and drive the bidding prices up. DC is a great place to invest and there are more affordable properties to flip in certain neighborhoods. You could also work to flip condos! All of Maryland is also great to invest in as the properties are significantly cheaper but also still close to DC. If you ever need help getting started just let me know!
