Post: RESimpli CRM Pros & Cons

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to give an update for RESimpli now that I have been using it for a couple of months now. Please keep in mind, this is my opinion and I am not being paid by RESimpli or any other person for my comments. Hopefully, I can actually help the Investing Community with my own experiences and this will help someone decide if this software is for them or not.

First let me say, that I am totally impressed with how the company is run and that starts with Sharad. I am not just saying this because he is on this forum or post. He really is a proactive person. The company is as well. So far my experience with Resimpli's Customer Support has been exceptional. One of the reasons i chose ReSimpli was because I called one of the other companies I had narrowed my CRM down to (will withhold the name of the company) and they had one of the worst support teams I have ever experienced. They could hardly answer any questions and the ones they did answer just seemed a bit off and lacking. I gave them two chances just in case they had a newer support person. So ReSimpli wins out in this category.

I know I mentioned good support but also they have really good onboarding as well. They also tell you that if you need additional onboarding that they are happy to set up additional classes.

One thing I like is that they have a weekly Mastermind call. This is a good chance to see how to put the software to work. Sometimes there are guest speakers and sometimes it is Sharad showing you how to use the software. The videos are recorded and you can go back in the Help section and watch them later.

Now here is something that I hope changes. One of the reasons I chose ReSimpli was to also send out postcards. It is pretty easy to use and send out postcards. However, it may be 12 days before the order goes out (I think that is what it was on my last order). It worries me that another investor may reach my targeted homeowner before I do. I hope this amount of time will be reduced in the future.

There are always improvements taking place. Each month so far new updates have been added to the software making it easier to use. They even ask you for input to make changes. Just this past week, I got an email letting me know that they are making changes to all of the plans. Now all plans include List Stacking AND all plans now include the Driving For Dollars app. I have to say, that was pretty cool. A company adding more options to a plan instead of trying to Nickle and Dime me with upsells. How refreshing!

So my first few months with RESimpli have been good. The software is fairly easy to use and they really are on top of things. I hope this helps.

Have the issues with the REsimpli logo showing up in Esign been resolved? This question is in relation to Ryan Dossey's video on YouTube. I also remember Ryan saying numbers were showing up in caller ID as REsimpli and having to call up the Helpdesk to get them to change it to identifiers that would relate to his company.

Just curious if these items have been resolved.

Hi Tommy,

The numbers don't say REsimpli in Caller ID. You can change it to your custom name if you would like otherwise, it would just show the phone number in Caller ID.

We use a 3rd party for eSign and eSign don't have custom branding currently.

 Hey Sharad,

Thanks for replying. I didn't even know you had replied. I guess I need to change some settings on BiggerPockets to notify me in the future. I started with Podio (Premium) and already I am seeing it's limits without having to spend a lot of time customizing it or hiring someone to do it or even paying a monthly fee to some third party. I have been going back and forth between RESimpli and FreedomSoft. I feel both offer a tremendous amount of value. Neither are cheap but I feel they both are probably are going to be the best solution for me. So I just need to make a decision and go with it. I just started wholesaling/investing and my leads are growing and the follow up is what I am wanting to make sure I can handle and that is where I believe your software as well as FS is really good at doing. I want to be able to send mailers directly from my CRM. Not only in bulk but one at a time if needed in a follow-up sequence or drip sequence. From the videos I watched and everything I read I think RESimpli does a good job of that. All of this is just from marketing and tutorials I have seen on the internet though. I appreciate you responding to my questions. That speaks volumes to me.

Yes Lydia, I agree. The follow up nudges are one of the things I am wanting. From what I have read, Follow Up is the biggest thing with leads. So getting tasks and/or reminders is a huge part of a CRM that I need.

Hey BP Community,

Is Podio really that difficult to use and format for my own needs? I am just getting started (Wholesaling) and looking for a good CRM. It looks like you can upload some apps in Podio and make it do what you need it to do. I have looked at just about every CRM there is for Real Estate Investing (and there are many of them). I think they all do a good job and some better than the others but the costs of some of the CRM's seem outrageous to me. I'm not looking for a free CRM either. Just not something that won't break the bank. I would love to have a CRM that does it all but I know that does not exist. There are a few that does most of the tasks I need but there still of some things that are left out or need tweaking. So I guess the question is will I be spending all of my time trying to program Podio instead of following up with potential sellers? Or, should I bite the bullet and get another CRM that costs more? My monthly budget is already high for someone just starting out trying to get the first deal.

So far monthly software costs are:

Propstream (using for leads and D4$): $97

Carrot Website (monthly cost since I paid by the year): $79

Batch Leads: $39

BatchDialer: $139

Phone System CallRail, Vumber or something to have phone numbers for my website, texts, etc: $19 to $45

This brings a monthly total for software to just under $400 and that does not include a CRM.

Please note that I plan on scaling to use at least one VA in the future.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks Stephen. That is my goal. A local wholesaler told me to GET MY FIRST DEAL. JUST GET THE FIRST DEAL. After that, it gets easier.

Can anyone post a link showing the .03 vs .35 cost savings for List Source when you sign up with Wholesaling Inc? Not sure if there was published data on that or if that offer may have expired.

Hey guys,

I'm a complete newb at the real estate wholesaling business. However, I have immersed myself in at least 200 hours of podcasts and YouTube videos over the last couple of months. I have experience in building my own WordPress websites and have some skills in SEO ( I have been able to get my websites ranked #1 for their keywords). I can build my own sites with ease using the StudioPress packages ( I bought the package years ago when they were like $199). All that being said, I have no problem paying for an IC or LP site if the SEO gets me leads. On my previous websites, I did not do much changes to the CSS. The StudioPress sites looked good enough to me to accomplish the tasks needed. In fact, I thought some people got too hung up about the looks of a website instead of it's functionality. So if a LP or IC website accomplishes me results and looks relatively decent, I am OK with what they are selling. It lines up with my philosophy for websites. However, I want to make sure that if I decide to go with Carrot or Lead Propeller, that I am able to move my website (web name) to another hosting site, etc. if I am not happy with IC or LP. I was able to find that LP made a statement about this issue on their website but I have not found the information for IC. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I am still on the fence on whether I should build my own site or invest with one of the two big boys of real estate. I would save a lot of money once my own site is built and I can build my website and landing pages fairly quickly. However, the SEO may just be worth it. I would hate to miss out on a deal because I was saving $900 on a website and hosting to miss a good lead and lose out on a $10K-$20K  deal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
