Hello David: With your knowledge and experience you could make such a profound impact into the investment community in your area. The biggest obstacle you may face is mindset and there is a person named Shaun McCloskey out of St. Louis who was a broker turned investor and I know he found success. Shaun was a guest speaker at my local REIA and he seems to be a genuinely nice man. He runs a educational real estate business named lifeonaire. FYI: This is not an endorsement.

Hello All, I am so glad to be in this community!

My name is John Gagliano and I have been a business owner for the last 15 years. Most of that time has been in retail. I'm the owner of a sunglass shop in Covington Louisiana named Ban Soleil. Despite the success we are having, retail is a tough space and double digit growth rates are very hard to come by these days. With that said, in January of 2015 I decided to diversify my cash flows by getting into real estate. My first step was to acquire my real estate license, so I took an online course and within four weeks I got my license. The broker I chose was Keller Williams which I feel was a good first move. The training they have is very good, but the biggest impact was being introduced to Mr. Gary Keller's books which have been a guiding force into real estate investing.

I strongly believe I have a lot to bring to the table, but a newbie is a newbie. Locally I'm a member of NOREIA and the local board of Realtor's. The MLS is a tool I use daily. And to date I have bought, sold, leased and invested in a number of properties in the Great New Orleans area.
