I live in the Chicago-land area and have a few questions.I am just starting out with Wholesaling and I know i have to get a property under contract first, but what I and wondering is where and what type of properties are buyers looking for?

I am in a similar situation to you (getting started).  I have been reading the BP books UBG and the investing with little or no money.  I think educating yourself first to figure out what you want to do and how to go about is a good way to start.

Could someone give me their opinion on the people on craigslist claiming they are real estate investors with so much business they looking to hire and train people. There are a few people here in Chicago with adds up on craigslist and I just seeing what people thought.

So after doing a little research and reading on here I have come up with a better more thought out plan going forward. I still am looking at doing wholesaling in the Chicago area, but when I get that going I would like to use the money I make some mediums term (fix and flip) and long term (multi-family units). Know I have to do a little more research on each (thank god for BP podcast on my train ride to and from work)

@Eric Michaels @Ryan Steele Part of the problem might of been the way he worded it. It is hard to put emotion into a post. The biggest problem was that I was tried from work and was on the edge with everybody last night. Also making assumptions about a person motivations will put some people on edge. But, I did say if he wanted to talk to me about what I should be doing then we can talk about it.

First like I say in my profile in my post I am NEW to this and part of that is seeing what is out there and getting a feeling for what works for me. Second I know it takes time, effort and money. If you have other ideas and want to talk to me about the fine, but don't talk to me like I am dumb.

I am looking into wholesaling to start and a down the road fix and flip and rentals. Mainly right now I am trying to wrap my head around wholesaling.

I live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and work Downtown. I am looking for to learn as much as possible and find a people who I can learn from and answer my questions.
