@Brian Boyd

This is a great story. I have several properties in Chattanooga and my story is kinda similar. Once you can get past the fear of diving in you learn more along the way.

It’s really not glamorous and the initial work can be difficult and stressful, but the more you know and the more experience you gain the more comfortable it becomes.

Kudos for taking the plunge and for DOING something about your work situation. Thanks for sharing this.

Thanks everyone for posting your experiences on this. Invaluable real life information. I was at IKEA at the time I posted this. The kitchens look great and it’s a nice alternative to the regular kitchens I see everywhere else. Maybe the quality over time is an issue.

Have any of you tried the IKEA showroom kitchens with installation in a rental? Just curious to see how much it cost and how much the installation ended up costing in the end.

@Aaron Belt Hi Aaron. Yes, the numbers seem to work even if I had to install backsplash etc. after it was done. It just seems like a cost efficient and almost hassle free way to renovate a kitchen.

 Thank you to everybody for your input on this. I have bought from Home Depot and Costco in the past. Costco in particular have been great. Their July appliance sale just finished the other day so I’m looking elsewhere for now. I’ll look into the sears outlet for scratch and dent and the mom and pop appliance stores.

Used dishwashers are too risky.

Thanks so much for your experience and knowledge.

In particular dishwashers. I’ve been buying used dishwashers and they’ve all ended up breaking/not working so I’m going to buy new. Any suggestions?

@William Allen I bought my first single family investment property from you in 2017. I remember being terrified and excited at the time. Having done my homework, there’s still no substitute for taking the plunge and getting your hands dirty and feet wet.

I’ve followed you and the Blackjack team on social media since then. I’ve gone on to purchase more investment properties since then, but the home I purchased from you guys has a special place in my heart. It set me on my way and is one of my best performing BRRRRs.

Kudos to you and your team and here’s to your continued success!

@Jenna Crye See you there! I haven’t been to this meet up in months so I’m looking forward to reconnecting with everyone.
