@Jessie Kristie great, meeting them in person is a plan of ours despite the distance we think it's pivotal.

This is a vacation home/STR for us not strictly investment property. Our price point is lower than the median. It was either condo or townhouse in our price range.

@Donna Hampton this is great, thanks for the insight.

I've been in touch with vacasa and 4 local companies. The locals have said they stay higher end than where we have purchased.

I'll keep googling and making calls til we find the right company.

Cheers

Hi folks,

We have an accepted offer on our first deal. The strategy is short term rental on a 2 bedroom townhouse in Panama City Beach. We feel inadequate at vetting a property manager as we will live out of state.

What questions should we ask?

Can we handle the bookings while they manage on site? Or do they have to do it all?

How much should this service cost?

Pretty much what's the process of getting a great manager?

Thanks,

Joey

Thanks @Obed Calixte for the description of regulations that are prevalent.  Is there a shortcut to knowing what the restrictions are when looking at a particular property for it's specific association?
