Hi Brittney,  Go directly to meetups.com there are several on there depending on what part of LA county you are in. I use to run a meetup myself before the pandemic but just haven't started back up again.

@Wendell De Guzman I would tell myself to buy, buy, buy when market appears to be near a low and don’t sell.

@James Johnson hi James, I would say both! Buy an investment property move into one of the units let the tenants pay the majority of your rent.  down the road can either sell or refi, and buy another property with the equity.

Is anyone familiar with the Durham STR market? My daughter is starting Duke University this fall and I'm interested in looking into a STR near the college. Maybe a duplex/triplex/fourplex. Any realtors that Specialize in the Durham market out there?
