Anyone experienced in investing in the Lynchburg, VA area? My gf lives there and I've been having a thought of moving there (I'm from NOVA) but also wanting to know more about area and the opportunities. I mainly look for SFH and MFH.

I've been waiting on the market to cool down but no time seems like a good time..

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

@Matthew Rolf - I think I have to agree with that.. I also think stuff on the west side of Houston are a bit more pricier. You'd have usually add 20 30k to have a chance at winning the house. I myself had 3 unsuccessful offers and so that was my experience in the recent months.

Hey all,

With the crazy market going on, it's getting harder to search and buy. I found myself in an area where it's really out of reach (Northern Virginia). Just like many others whom may find themselves in the same situation, I can't help but keep wondering... will the market cool down or will we have more inventories coming up in the next few months? What are some of the indicators to believe so?

What are your thoughts?

Thanks.

Hey @Sean Rooks - I'm wondering if you're familiar with the VB area? I'm a new investor from the NOVA rea and would be interested in learning more about the area. Let's connect and chat sometimes?

Hey @Scott Westfall I'm a new investor from the NOVA area interested in getting to know the VB area better. I'd like to look for under 180k properties in the area. Wondering if we can connect and discuss further?

@Matthew Rolf Thank you for your input. What are your thoughts on other alternative areas if there are any?

Hi all,

I'm a newbie investor and interested in some upcoming areas in Houston. I'm most interested in Katy, then Richmond, Cypress, Pearland and Sugar Land. As we all might have seen the crazy spike in home prices recently. I'm wondering if it still makes sense to buy now and rent for future equity appreciation and little cash flow?

I also wanted to ask what are other alternative areas that are good for rental income? My budget is around 235k (max) and my target monthly rental income is $1600 to $1700. These numbers are tight to crunch all in right now as I understand.

Thank you all and I look forward to receive some inputs from members on BP.
