With recession looming (I believe we're in it already - early phase), what are some of your strategies to combat high interest rates when it comes to borrowing from the bank? I'd love to hear directly from mortgage brokers/lenders on this forum as well as the veterans who've been through these economic downturn before. Personally I'm thinking of ARM loans to combat short term rate hikes and refi when possible (within 5 to 7 years). This is a bet for sure and nothing will guarantee rates won't be higher when 5/7 years time is up.

Appreciate all the inputs and hopefully there isn’t already a similar thread.

Looking for a remote investment rental in the Tampa, Clearwater and St. Pete areas. What are some of the promising areas within these cities? I visited Tampa once in July and loved the area. Of course I think it has tremendous possibilities like it’s always been the past 20 years.

Let’s get connected?

Thank you for your inputs :)

Wondering if anyone has experience of obtaining land, permits and build tiny/container house or cabin? I'd love to hear your stories and learn more about the process.

Cheers!

Hey everyone,

I'm sure this has been asked before. I'm interested in getting to know more about the Charlotte are in NC. What's their real estate market like? I'm a remote investor (from VA) and looking to enter a few markets in NC. Would really appreciated a few inputs!

Thanks!

@Phillip Bradrick - thank you for a quick and concise response. I'm sure there's more to chat as I'm here to learn about the market and would love to hear from someone with experience in the area. I'll definitely reach out to you on DM.

@Danny Kaminsky - extremely thankful for your quick analysis here. I'm absolutely brand new to the Durham and Raleigh market (only been there once). What are your thoughts on types of properties in East Durham area? I'm mostly interested in SFH. I like the idea of stable income rental for the students near the university area, however I'm also a bit unsure about the longevity of your properties given that the tenants could be more on the younger side.

Hello there,

I'm currently looking into investing in the Durham and Raleigh area. I'm from the Northern Virginia so clearly I do not know anything about these areas (hence why I think they are very potentials). Could I be please be connected with the local realtors and people who are familiar with the areas? I've realized this might be a big ask so any inputs will be greatly appreciated!

@Laura Tokgozoglu - thank you so much for your input. May I ask how are your properties are doing? Are you doing a long term or short term rental? I'm very new to Lynchburg but I'm a starter investor so I think it's a good and still affordable place to start.
