@Evan Bonnell Thanks! The returns on multi family in my general area look to have good potential, but the prices I'm seeing are pretty high as well.

@Jeff Burdick Thanks! I am looking mainly on the north side of Chicago, as well as the northwest suburbs. My first deal will likely be either a live-in flip, or a multi family house hack; and I will need to be within reasonable driving distance to Palatine IL.

Hi All,

I'm new to the biggerPockets community, but I can tell already that this is the best place to learn about investing in real estate. 

I am interested in diversifying my investment portfolio through real estate, and I would like to buy a duplex, triplex or fourplex to house hack, or possibly do a live-in flip.

I'm also interested in partnering with others where I can bring some value to the deal, be it capital, sweat equity, etc.

I am looking for deals mainly in Chicago and the northwest suburbs of Illinois.

I look forward to learning from and with you all.
