@Ken Latchers @Kaynea Bingham thank you for your input its much appreciated.

My goal is to buy and hold long term for cash flow in the states either via LTR or STR. I have a small family that would like to visit the Orlando on holiday 1-2 times a year and thought owning a STR would fit our immediate needs. As we live in the UK I would not be hands-on and would need a PM and team to assist me in this endeavour. Seems like you and @Ken Latchers both agree that it may be difficult owning and managing a STR while being in a different country.

Would it benefit us more to start with a LTR in the Orlando area and get my feet wet? TIA

@Reggie Maggard

Hi Reggie, thinking of investing in a condo hotel as well in the Orlando area. Wondered if you decided to purchase one and how your experience is?

@Kaynea Bingham

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the good advice.

I'm an expat in the UK and would like to invest in the Orlando area but don't know much about it other than it being a tourist town. I found a place in the Fairview Shores area is this area too far to bring in high yields for a STR? TIA

Hi, I'm an ex-pat living in the UK looking to invest back home. Anyone have experience in how we're taxed? I am getting mixed information. I hear we are taxed twice (UK accountant) but I see we there is a double taxation clause in place. TIA

Thank you for all the input. I'm currently living in the UK, and its advised to purchase REI investments as interest only. As it's a different market, wanted to get the consensus across the pond as I'm looking to invest in the states.

Hi, I am new to RE investing and doing my due diligence and learning loads. What do you think of interest only loans? Which do you prefer, interest only or repayment?
