I have been doing some research as I am new to REI and have come across many articles and recommendations about purchasing tax liens, deeds, etc..is this a good way to get started in REI? What are the downfalls, if any? Does anybody have extensive knowledge in this field?

Welcome! I just joined and am new to the real estate world too. James definitely have you the best advice. I'm 23 but I were 18 again, I would go back and buy a home and rent out any other spare room. That would easily pay your mortgage and once you're ready to move out, voila! You already have your first rental property. I'm looking into going to the wholesaling side as it doesn't require much capital either. Good luck!

I'm new to wholesaling and looking for someone to give me a few tips. Not necessarily a mentor but just someone who is experienced in REI, wholesaling in particular. Any advice would be great!!

Hello all! I'm new to the real estate world. I'm expecting a daughter anyday now and I've been continuously looking for ways to make some extra income and I keep being led to Real Estate. I love in the Triad areas with decent connections here and the Raleigh area. Just looking for some good tips on getting started with wholesaling. What has or hasn't worked for you??
