Hi,

How does leverage work? Is there a brief and concise way to put it? Can you refinance a property and purchase a second one with it?

Hi,

Within a year my goal is to purchase my first property with a partner. He has a background in construction so renovations is an option. What would you say are the best strategies or renovations to increase property value (for ex. renovating the kitchen)? I'd like to have ideas for what to look for in a property that we could fix or change in order to increase property value. The plan is to hold but increase equity so that we can leverage for a second property.

Thank you

Demetri

Hey,

I'm thinking of investing in Florida and I'm wondering if someone could help me figure out the pros and cons? I'm from Canada.

Thanks for all the responses!

@J Scott Sorry to ask, what does DOM stand for?

@Roy N. I'll look into that when I started looking for my first deal. Thank you.

@Roy N. In your experience, contacting a deceased persons relative for a property has brought you good opportunities?

@Roy N. Thank you Roy, I was aware of all these things. Is William Johnson a friend of yours? Since I'm not a paying member, I cannot send message to people who are not my "colleague". I will definitely need to dive into the laws here in QC. I'm a little confused to the definition of probate when it comes to real estate.

Thank you once again.

That is awesome! I should venture outside of this forum and visit the other areas! Will do so once I finish the book. Thank you once again!
