Thanks everyone for responding.

@Raymond

I'll use the 'Address Correction Requested' term

The problems is that the term used above must be stamped on the envelope by the USPS personnel. Unfortunately, they are confused on this issue and have given me different answers to this question. If I could just write the term on the envelopes myself, I wouldnt have this problem.

Hi all,

I've been sending letters to owners of vacant properties. To make sure the envelopes reach the current owners, the envelopes must be stamped "RETURN SERVICE REQUESTED', by the Post Office. However, either no one at the PO knows what the heck I'm talking about when I ask about this service or they say I must contact the Bulk Mail unit.

If anyone out there has had success getting this part done, please share. I did not realize how goofy the Post Office people are until now.

Yes, responding negatively to wholesaling. Haven't had that discussion with him wholesaling, but will have it now.

Thanks everyone.

J Scott@J. Scott,

Thanks. I am afraid that my managing broker will respond negatively to this but, yes, full disclosure is probably safest.

@Wayne Brooks,
Thanks. But to make the contract assignable should I use an addendum with the standard realtor contract?

Hi all,

can anyone tell me if when one is a Realtor who is wholesaling a deal, must I use only the contract that is sanctioned by the Realtor Association in my area jurisdiction (with an addendum stating that the contract will be assignable) or can I, as a Realtor, use a regular assignable contract?

I welcome input from any and everyone but particularly anyone who is a licensed broker in the Chicago area who has wholesaled properties.

Thanks in advance.

Looking for a knowledgeable real estate attorney in Chicago; our office really doesn't have an attorney officially so can anyone give me a few recommendations?
