I just came across Auction.com and wondered if any one from the BP community has ever purchased property from the website? I seen a few properties I was interested in. Are pretty much all the properties bank owned at a auction?

As a newly investor, I’m looking to setup my business and incorporate. I heard it’s best to connect with an attorney to set up your company with your state and also they’re good for when you’re working with contracts. I’m looking to discuss my structure and help with direction on how I should incorporate. Would LLC be the best? I just looked up a few in my area (Philadelphia) and so many came up. How did you guys decide when choosing your attorney when setting up your Real Estate Business?

Hi @Chris K.

Thank you for your reply!

I'm not interested in being a general contractor and I don't want to focus completely on interior design. I have always been fascinated with luxury home remolding and interior design. My future aspirations are to co-own or partner with a small boutique company that provides all these aspects of design and building new construction.

My educational background is in Business Management and I do have a small portfolio of a few projects that I've developed in the past. Although, I don't have any experience with AutoCAD, I've always been intrigued to learning more about it, since that is a requirement for interior designers.

Hi @John Knisely

Thank you for your feedback! These are some very great strategies to start with. I have reached out to one builder so far and I plan to use Houzz to help with finding more. I haven't considered connecting with a staging company, but that would be a great path to take. I will definitely take action on the strategies you mentioned and I appreciate your help.

Thanks again,

Have a great evening!

Hi,

I live in the Philadelphia area and i'm preparing myself for becoming a luxury real estate investor. I recently, became intrigued by the builder and development aspect of it. I have a great passion for interior design and did some previous projects providing home decor services too, so I want to have that incorporated in what I do as well.

I just don't know where to start with this and what first steps I should take to begin this path. I'm willing to take small steps into this path and really learn the business. I'm looking for a mentor in the area to work with or even work for them as an assistant to learn the business.

If anyone has any suggestions or feedback, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks!

Hi @Brett Snodgrass

Thank you for the advice! I will check out the guide for wholesaling. I'm attending one of the Meetups in my area next week. The strategy you mentioned would be a great opportunity for me. Thanks again!

Love the BP Community and so happy to finally join! Starting with wholesaleing to get my feet wet in the real estate industry. I have a goal to get at least 3 properties under contract by the new year. My locations of interest: (Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs).

I'm located in the Philadelphia area and have over 10 years experience with interior design and decorating. So if anyone needs any new home decor tips with design and home staging, I will be glad to answer any questions. I'm very good with colors, have a great eye for design and home decorating trends.

Also, what are other good niches for new investors to focus on when starting besides wholesaling?
