I think my biggest hold back is the lack of knowledge I have in this field at moment, and that carries over to “pulling the trigger” on deals because I’m scare I might be getting my self into a huge debt I probably can’t afford.

You shouldn't "pull the trigger" if you have a lack of knowledge. But if can;t be an expert before you find your first deal. Actually get out there and look at properties. That will build knowledge as well.

Thank you! I recently finished reading the BP book on "How to Invest in Real Estate" picked up another on Rental property since that is  what I want to become an expert on and go from there after. Thank you again

Hello everyone, I’m literally starting to dive into the real estate world. I have been working towards my first purchased for a while now so I have worked on all aspects of this process, credit, down payment etc. What I want to have clarify is all realtors want me to have a pre approval before I even start looking at homes...and I understand why...sort of. But is it really necessary? I know that if I don’t close on a deal it won’t affect my score but I have been listening to podcast and videos from this website where they state that a credit run is not necessary. If so how can I tell my realtor that I don’t want my credit checked? Thanks everyone!
