Appreciate all of your replies. It's so nerve-racking to think about the possibility of failure but also extremely exciting to hope and educate for success!

Hi everyone, I am currently in the process for saving up for my first house hack, hoping to buy in the beginning of 2022. I have already read the House Hacking Strategy but am stuck with what I believe should be my first move.

Obviously, my goal is financial freedom as soon as possible. This leads me to believe that I should choose STR for my first house hack. However, would there be any benefit of making my first house hack a LTR? If my first house hack is a LTR, I still plan on a majority of my portfolio to be STR with Airbnb after that.

Please let me know your opinions, stories, anything. I’m eager to buy a property but I want to make it count!

Hey everyone, I would really love to get into Arbitrage with AirBnB in Georgia. I have several questions:

Where is the best place/city in Georgia to start this in your opinion?

What type of property is the best type for Arbitrage? (Multi-family, Single family, condo, etc.?)

If you’ve been successful with this, how did you get started? At what point did you feel confident convincing real estate owners to let you do this with their property?

What kinds of owners did you reach out to and which worked the best?

What was your pitch?

I’m open to any and all opinions and advice on this topic, thanks in advance!

@Jonathan Greene That is extremely helpful information, thank you for your advice! I would definitely want to develop a system where I am confident in the guests I would allow to stay at my rentals.

Hey everyone. I am eager as hell for my first chance to start investing in real-estate. I have many thoughts and questions. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, advice, opinions, etc. I really appreciate it!

I would love to begin my journey with investing in properties for Airbnb & Vrbo. I know this can be a lucrative option for sure which is why I’d love to start this way so I can take my earnings and invest into other and into rentals possibly.

Does anyone prefer Airbnb over Vrbo or vice versa?

Do you guys think the market for short term vacation properties will ever go out of style in the sense of laws being created against them (being phased out sorta)?

How much do you think a first time young person who has never bought a home would need to save for a decent property return investment?

Can I use an FHA Loan for one of these properties?

Do you think it’s smart to mix my portfolio with short term vacation rentals as well as more stable long term rentals?
