Hello everyone! I am trying to find a good company for background checks for renters. Not sure if it matters where I am located, but in case it does, I am in the southern California area. Does anyone have a good suggestion for this? Thanks in advance! I figured you all would be the best people to ask!

Hi Thomas. Are you still looking for help with this? I have a background of 15+ years' success in telephone sales and I think this could be a win win since I am trying to learn more about how to qualify and process inbound real estate deal leads.

I hope my subject line doesn't deter responses, but I felt it was the most appropriate. I was laid off from my job a few weeks ago and have been trying to come up with ideas about how to use this time off between jobs to move forward with my real estate investing. I would love to get some ideas. To give more info, I have no money to invest (need to keep my cash on hand in case it takes me a while to find something). I do have 401k, which I was thinking about moving to a self directed 401k. I remember listening to a podcast about seller financing... maybe use the time to get my real estate license. Try to see if I can tag along with a local investor to learn from them (what could I offer so it's a win-win?, how would I find someone?). These are the ideas I have had so far, but would love additional input. Thanks in advance!

Hello bigger pockets community! I am finally getting around to introducing myself. I have been interested in getting involved with real estate investing since I was a young teen, I just never knew (and still don't know) where to start. I have been educating myself like crazy! Looking forward to getting started and to being more involved in the BP community!
