I need references as well!

I recently got out of the military and am a new real estate agent. I used the VA Loan myself last year to purchase a home but I wouldn't call myself an expert. I'd love to get more training to be able to help my clients navigate using their VA Loans. Does anyone have experience being apart of the VAREP Association? And if so, what type of training if any, did you receive?

@Dev Patel First of all, you are amazing! I wish I would have known to start asking questions when I was 14, I would have been way ahead of the game by now. The Millionaire Next Store is also a really awesome book to read. Can I ask you a question? Who or what influenced you to start thinking about real estate? Knowing a little more background might help us all give you more advice that pertains to you

@Deepak Arora Definitely check reference of previous landlords. Most people I know who have cats have houses that reek of cat pee smell. Even when you replace the carpet its hard to get out. May be okay if it's all hardwood or laminate etc floors.

@Olivia Radziszewskimaybe not my best time spent but I really do want to learn and be somewhat competent. A lot of people I hire try to pull a lot of dumb stuff because I’m a single female and they know I don’t know about hvac and electrical and plumbing :/ If I’m not doing myself at least I can call them on their bullsh*t before it’s too late and they’re long gone haha

@Scott Mac I was the first female in the navy special ops program and am a retired bodybuilder. Also worked on helicopters and have done my own renovations so I know how to use and own all those tools :)

Just cause I’m a woman doesn’t mean I can’t hang with the boys lol
