@Daniel Krantz

Great deal you got. Inspiring for sure. I am in Oneonta Ny.- Upstate. Funny to see so many comments on here about Upstate.I figured I would be the only one in this area.

@Mark Bookhagen

You still get the depreciation and write offs with single family too. Correct? I have in the past.

Wondering specifically about benefits of multi family

Container cabins. I get it now. Those smaller tiny cabins should do well. People in this area love that stuff. And they are basically just sleeping there

@Christopher Polanco

I live an hour away and have spend plenty time in the Hunter Area. We usually just day trip because it is so close. But have gone for the weekend for a close to home getaway. We usually do Airbnb but there aren’t many. And tons of people from the city go their to ski or I. Fall to check out the colors. So I think it is a good idea. Between all the activities there. It should rent fine. Not familiar with container cabins though.

Been listening to Real Estate podcasts on BP. talking about tax benefits to investing in Multifamily. I have no experience in multifamily yet. Why are the tax benefits they speak of? Would like some explanation on that.

I think that long term renters are great. But the college kids parents usually pay and always pay and upfront. With my old renters , I seems to spend more time chasing people down to pay rent. Even over years. That part drove me nuts. The college kids in this area even pay ahead for next year and over the summer to store their stuff. It would be upsetting if the collage kids did destroy the place and then it also will always be a college rental. Never someones home.

@Nate Monson, I am speaking of Oneonta NY. But have started looking in the Albany area.
