Hey BP Fam! This post will be quick and simple. I, like most people on here, am interested in investing in property for rental income. I am in the process of reading (well, listening on YouTube) Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

My question is this: Does anyone either recommend a good book, or better yet, a specific reading list that could benefit me from reading in a particular order? Any audio books (pref on YouTube) you recommend? I would prefer these reading materials to be free, however if they are not, just state that it isn’t free when you recommend the book, so I can budget money to invest in them.

Thanks for anyone who decides to reply.

@Kim Tucker

Thank you! I also followed Steve’s advice above, and contacted the board of realtors. They referred me to the real estate school in my area, who gave me the answer I was looking for. As it appears, in the state of Missouri, as long as you own the property and are not buying it for someone else, you don’t need any form of licensing what so ever. I’m sure it becomes much more complex beyond that point, however for my specific business plan, this was amazing news to hear.

I will most certainly look into your blog, and read what you have going on there as well. I appreciate the time you spent answering my question! I love gaining new avenues of resourceful information.

I have been trying to find a definitive answer to this question. Does a Missouri resident need to obtain licensing before renting out real estate investments? I have attempted to do some research and unfortunately I keep going in circles- maybe because I am not wording the keywords right. I tried looking for any similar topics in the forum with no luck. Anyone able to point me in the right direction on how to look into this?
