Look to the peripheries. Look for the subtle signs that your property will undergo gentrification during your tenure as landlord. Where is the nearest Starbucks? Public transit? Highway on ramp that will put your property within commuting distance of a hub. Follow large scale changes in the geography....Amazon in Virginia, DHS opening St Elizabeth's Campus.

These glacial changes won't go away, and the 20-25% realization in property values will be well worth som missing stoves.
