Post: Sponsoring broker in Chicago - part time broker

Hi All,

I have had my real estate license for years but have not had it active with a managing broker. I used to work for a commercial brokerage (HFF before the buyout), so I was required to have my license. After HFF, I held the license with NIREIN to keep it active. However, now I am interested in holding with a managing broker so that I can do a few transactions a year if the opportunities present themselves (friends, own investments, etc). Does anyone have experience with brokerages who offer attractive agreements for part-time brokers?

Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Hey BP,

My wife and I are under contract on our first multi unit (owner occupant) and we are looking for a solid accountant familiar with the real estate tax code (ideally also owning his/her own investment properties). If anyone has recommendations, we’d greatly appreciate it.

Hi Bree! We went with Real Inspection Services. Josh is the client facing rep and is extremely responsive and thorough. Ask for Chuck’s availability- he has 25 years of experience and is on top of his game. You won’t be disappointed- Let them know I say hello if you end up calling them!

Hi Melissa,

My wife and I will be doing something very similar to this in the coming months. Did you find anyone that you would recommend? We are also looking in the City's northwest side.

Thank you,

Jesse

Hi All! I am going under contract on a 2-flat today. Do you all have any follow-up feedback based on the recommendations above? This is my first purchase, so want to be sure we go with best-of-the-best inspector!

Hello, does anyone have a reputable home inspector recommendation for the Chicago-area? The property is based on the north side. Also, does anyone have thoughts on using a home inspector vs. hiring inspectors based on specialty (plumbing, roofing, etc.)? Any and all help appreciated. Thank you!
