Yeah, I have been asking around and that seems to be a possibility.  Just as another topic somewhat related, pulling electrical, plumbing, mechanical permitting, does this require a licensed person for each sub contract or can the GC pull any permit required to build?

Yes. I would not only General Contract but also do many facits of the work. My ultimate goal is to be a licensed general contractor..

Any advice also helps. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Andrew for the advice. Will do both!

Want to use my skill set to build a home for my family and to get started on my educational journey toward becoming a General Contractor / Investor. Thanks in advance!

Thanks Charles. I read your commentary to another member on the "School of the Streets" I believe and found it informative. As mentioned in my post, I am not in Maryland yet but, will be moving later this year north of Baltimore towards Bel Air. I need a better understanding of licensing and real estate groups in Maryland ( Harford County and surrounding ). While venturing into this new aspect of my life, I hope to bring years of expertise and wisdom in construction to expand our potential and make us successful. Any information you believe is beneficial on this quest is certainly valued and greatly appreciated, Thanks for your time.

My name is Scott Joyner. I will be moving to back to Maryland this year and I will be expanding my potential by starting a new business with my best friend in the flipping and buy and hold arenas. I have a fairly diverse construction knowledge covering almost all aspects of home building, renovation etc. I am a Master Mechanical contractor who has been in the construction field my entire life. I am excited to be partnering with my best friend not only to change the course of our futures but, to also bring real value to friends, neighbors, and our community! We are truly looking forward to providing a great product that will help elevate peoples lives and open the doors to the American Dream again! P.S. I just realized it says ready learn in my header! I can't seem to edit that so...that will have to do unless someone can assist me! Please!
