Hi Vladimir Vega, welcome to BP. I'm a newbie as well with a similar story just over the hill from you in the 805. I'm still planning on attending the seminar to gleam any ideas and motivation I can from them but it seems like the books recommended on these blogs have all the same 'insider' information. Together with all the help from the BP community I think I'll save my big guru bucks. Good luck to you my friend!

Welcome Charles, I'm a newbie from So Cal. I'll be watching this thread closely since I too have commercial property I'd like to do the same thing with, only I'll be coming at it from the rehab side. I did my first flip up your way in Parker, CO. My first inquiry was shot down by my bank saying they wouldn't do an equity line of credit on rental properties.

I tried to message you using the contact tab but it says your info has been blocked. Full disclosure, I'm in California and have no business in Chicago so I can't use your extra ticket, I was just wondering if you would be willing to give me the name of your legit guy off the forum. It sounds exactly like Thans deal I'm attending out here (except for the part about being cheap...!) As well most BP threads don't think it's really legit.

Realtor.com is another one that seems pretty current and accurate. Other sources can include auctions, short sale and foreclosure lists if you can pry them away from the banks.

Hi David O,

Thank you for the advice and encouragement. By 'identify a couple of areas' do you mean setting up Key Word Alerts? (I'm still reading through the intro articles to learn how to do those)

Thank you Rich NG. I'll fully agree that this is a great site to learn and collect information from... The nerve part, I'm not so sure. I had more nerve to pull the trigger before I started searching and reading and realized how much I don't know! Lol

I'm just happy I found this amazing resource to help me start my journey.

Hi, I'm Jeremy Graham from So. California. I've had an interest in flipping houses for some time now but am finally getting off the sidelines and going for it. I have a background in construction related projects design and production and am cautiously optimistic that I can apply what I already know to everything I'm willing to learn about the real estate industry. With a little luck and lots of help from all the wonderful members of BP I hope to go far. :)
