@Jimmy O'Connor, thank you for the heads up.  I am really loving the idea of moving into a multi family to get started and expand from there but really sticking the buy and hold rentals for now.

I'll drive around and look for properties and use the MLS. It sounds like the auction may be a bit ambitious. I have reserved a spot at the auction August 9th so I'll go to at least get the experience.

Good Morning,

Just joined BP last week and I am overwhelmed with the BP family and the encouragement I see people giving to each other.

I am interested in starting my career off with a multi family in Southwest Philly with at least 3 units and I would like to use the Sherriff sale/Auction process to get this unit.

Does anyone have any advice on this idea or advice on the Philly Sherriff sale process or do you think there would be a better way for me to start off?

Also can anyone give some info on how to finance auction houses?
