So i just picked up a few new books. "How to make friends and influence people." and " Think and grow rich". I know there are a few categories on here wehre people name good books, but i want something a little different. Books that helped you break out of your shell or helped you learn to deal with people.

I'm kind of a straight shooter (aka blunt) and don't easily understand emotional people sometimes. So is there something that really just CHANGED your outloook if you were similar?

Matt,

Thanks for the encouragement. Glad to see you're doing well having just been in the same place.

How did you go about finding a mentor on here? Anything special? I know Will and Rich are good people.

So i'm starting from scratch and i want to know how you'd do it. Wholesaling of course i know. I'm going to have business cards drawn up and find a place to "farm."

Where do i go from there? Bandit signs seems like a waste of time and money around here because there are TONS. Only know of one local REIA club and it's once a month about 40minutes away. I drive around looking for houses a lot and try contacting owners. I've started writing a few lowball offers but no bites as of yet. I have a business plan and goals.

How do i meet more people who are in the business? What is a good way to get busy and effective. I don't mind grinding for a long time but at what?

Thanks for the help, glad to be on the forums again.
