Hey y'all, these past couple months have been really crazy, with inflation being so high, the Canadian bank is likely to mimic the U.S 75 basis point rate hike, meaning that mortgage rates will probably go up and home prices will begin to slow down or even go down. With the Stock and crypto market already falling a lot YTD, im not to sure if right now is the best time to be buying real estate, I may be wrong though, I was planning on buying a home somewhere in Ottawa the beginning of this year, either a single family or condo, im only 20 though, so I do not have any skin in the game, so if anyone with more experience than myself can pitch in, that would be great.

Hello, I want to get started in real estate, I've decided that I want to get into the rental property side, my goal is to eventually build up a big enough portfolio to earn enough cashflow to live off of that. Ive got enough money for a downpayment, maybe not for a 2 million dollar home, but I feel I've got enough capital, however my question is what type of properties should I look at for my first rental property? A singe family home, duplex, condo? Im located in Ontario, and id prefer to invest here for my first home since it'll be my first home and more of a passive investment rather than a priority, any advice will definitely help!!

Hey guys, I want to purchase my first rental property, I've got a budget of around 50-80k for a downpayment, however I'm just wondering what your guy's opinion is on what Canadian markets are best right now when it comes to rental properties, specifically when it comes to multi-family and condos, I have seen many websites and people say how city's like London, Ottawa, Hamilton, Guelph, those are just some to name off, however I want to know what you guys think with your first hand experience and knowledge what markets I should be looking at to purchase my first rental property, thx!!

Hey guys, I'm Jefferson, I'm 19 years old, Ive been looking into real estate and I really want to start investing, however I don't have enough money to buy a 800k house with straight cash, I'm obviously going to need to get a mortgage, however I've not even had a credit card for more than a year, its around the 7-9 month range, I've never missed a payment, but I feel lenders prefer history, along with that, i work retail, I've only had this job around the same length as my credit card, I do have the money for a downpayment of at least 50-80k, my question is if I'm even able to get a mortgage, I may have the money, but I don't think that's everything lenders care about, any thoughts? anyone I should talk to? Im located in Ontario if anyone knows anyone I'm able to talk to, thx!!

I want to get started in real estate, however there are many different strategies, such as brrr, flipping, house hacking, etc, I’m definitely want to own a rental property since i think this method of investing is effective, however I’m not sure if i should brrr, i cant afford to buy a 1M$ house in Toronto with cash, however i do have around 50-80k cash, I feel that should be enough for a downpayment in city's like Ottawa, Gatineau, or London, I'm not sure though. What markets and rental property investment strategies have y’all seen or done has been most effective for first timers like myself??
