Thanks @Paul Timmins for the comments. Like I already mentioned, I did say that I am working on finding a mentor as well as looking through BP. I understand that means bring people deals and talking with other investors. I have read a lot of the books on the list as well as been to REIA club meetings.

I simply asked about the Wholesaling course offered by Chris Geoff. If anyone has any information about that course, or Mr. Geoff in general, that's the information I'm looking for. Thanks again.

Thanks for all the work you guys and gals put into this website. High fives all around!!!

Newbie here. Now I know the general consensus is to stick with BP and find a mentor. While I'm working on that, I'd at least like to see if anything by Chris Goff, specifically his wholesaling course, is worth purchasing. Link for reference:

I don't plan on signing up for his coaching or anything outside of this program. If anyone has any specific book or course suggestions, I'm more than open to those.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Hi @Cuong Le and thanks for the welcome!!! I'll have a listen to those podcasts later on today as well as look into your suggested approach to learning. Right now, I'm doing a lot of reading up on how to assess repairs and ARVs here on BP as well as other resources online and at the library. If you and others would be willing to help me learn more, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Not sure what you mean by which areas, but if you're talking geographically, I'd like to start out here in Houston first. I know Webster, League City, Friendswood, Clear Lake, and Kemah very well but looking forward to learning more about the local communities.

Hi everyone!!! My name is Japheth and I'm currently living in the Webster/Clear Lake area (just outside of Houston, TX). For the past few years, I've been doing a lot of reading and self-educating about real estate investing. Now that I'm getting more familiar with the terms and processes, I'm ready to jump in and get started.

My short term goals are to get my feet wet with bird dogging and wholesaling, eventually working up to long term goals of doing short sales, rehab flips, and rentals. The ultimate goal is to have a variety of methods going so I can create a meaningful living for my family as well as give back to the communities we'll be investing in.

I'm definitely interested in networking with those willing to mentor as well as others who are willing to share their experiences with me. Thanks for taking the time to read my intro and I look forward to learning and working with you all!!!
