Hi all - I've been looking more into Foreclosures around me in NE Ohio (Wooster, Ashland, Wadsworth, Medina) to BRRR or flip. The first home I purchased was a HUD home when i was 25, we lived there, fixed it up and eventually sold it. So I know somewhat about the process.

My question is, are you guys getting lists through certain real estate agents, banks, online..??

Any insight is appreciated!!

Think of it this way - your situation isn't going to get any better staying where you are at, time to get some momentum going!!

Find someone to work with, mentor, partner, etc.

If you need some quick cash flow you could always do a low cost of entry into a network marketing company to help get out - i've seen first hand a good number of people go from nothing to something with that.

Either way, GET STARTED!!

Best of luck to you!

Thank you for all the feedback and welcomes! It is exciting to see so many people local.

@Valerie Couch I am about 45 min south of Cleveland. Creston is almost right off 71. Small 2,500 person town.

@Darrin Wesenberg That is great to hear! I have spoken with one or two contractors, but I'm looking at doing as much as I can myself to start with. It seems like finding that mix of quality and price is the tough challenge. If I come across one, i'll pass the name on.

@Raul Pedrozo Are you based out of a real estate agency? We will def have to meet up some time. I was hoping to find some type of real estate/investing networking group that is open to new people joining.

@Tim Debronsky @Ryan Arth Thank you!!

Hello -

A little about me, I am 30 years old from the Wooster OH area and am getting into the rental property game.  I've listened to the podcasts for a few months now and read up on most of the popular books.

The first house I owned was a fixer upper HUD home, that I bought in 2008, lived there for 3 years then sold to build a house on my families land. I love working with my hands and the projects I had with it. You could say I'm a bit of a handy man.

Currently I'm in the process of working with a local bank to see what some of my financing options are, as well as working with a local real estate agent who runs a property management company.

I'm excited to learn more and find networking opportunities with people in my area. Thanks in advanced for all the info!!
