If its the one I'm thinking they're in a pretty rough area for the most part.  Be careful with anything around 12th St NW east of 77 & especially south of 12th towards downtown.  You can get deals pretty cheap you just need to be aware of what you're buying.

@Austin Wood. Hey Austin, are you looking to buy a property there? I invest in Akron/Canton. Mostly wholesale and rentals but I do some flips too. The Akron U area can be tricky. Right around the college isn't bad but go a little further out and it gets rough.

I have a guy for you that is with state farm.  Hes very knowledgable with investment properties and coverages.  $1500 is definitely high.  Let me know if you want his contact info.

Hey Matt.  Would love to help you out with this.  I don't have a map but can kind of give you an idea on the good/bad areas.

Some of the nicer areas include Firestone Park (44301), Wallhaven (44313) and Ellet (44312).

Some decent rental areas would be parts of East Akron (44306), Goodyear Heights (44305), parts of North Hill (44310), Kenmore (44314), parts of West Akron (44320)

Some of the rougher areas are around the zoo (44307) and south akron/summit lake (44301) and the areas right around downtown are typically a little rougher although you can find some good spots here and there.
