Hello everyone,
My name is Jonathan Cabrera and I am a newbie in real estate investing. I started my business of wholesaling back in September but have yet to close a deal. Before I get started on that let me just give a little background if I may.
Why real estate? My dream since I was 14 was to build a resort down in the Dominican Republic and one day about 1 year ago asked me what was a dream of mine? She asked this because I was going on a rant about hating my current job. My response to her was that I wanted to build a resort which then she told me to look into real estate, and that's how it all began. I've invested into the "Rich Dad Poor Dad" mentor ship program and another mentor ship program that I wont mention, thus gaining a lot of information and knowledge about real estate.
Since starting my investing business I haven't closed a deal yet. Reason for that is not having any cash buyers and struggling to negotiate with homeowners. I do a lot of direct mail marketing sending out about 20 to 25 letters a day. I also do bandits signs. My goal for this year is to wholesale 50 houses 10 of them by April because I want to use that money that I get from the 10 houses I've wholesaled to rehab 2 houses between May and August. In pursuit of shinning light to my business I have started a meet up for Westchester County NY. I found myself going to a lot of meet ups in NYC and no one really knowing about Westchester. So I started to look for some meetups in Westchester and saw none. So I decided instead of looking for cash buyers why not bring them to me and at the same time help other investor not only grow their network but also be able to build their business that much better. So I started a meet up for Westchester county. I am currently the owner / founder of Westchester's REIA Network.
I would like to meet someone on bigger pockets that I can call and a person that will take me under their wing. I don't mind being an investors bird dog and or the person just doing their work. I just want to learn and willing to do what it takes.
Sorry for the long Intro figured I just put everything out there.
